Homemade Baked Mini Doughnuts

It’s probably safe to say that anything in a miniature size is just so cute! Today we are making delicious homemade mini doughnuts that are baked and not deep fried! A bit healthier and oh so easy to make! These bite sized treats make for the perfect addition to a party and is something a little different then the always used cupcakes. Add mini doughnuts to milk glasses and you have now created the cutest party drink that your little peanuts will just adore! Did we mention how easy these are to make too?! Just what we like!

– 1 cup flour
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 1 tbsp baking powder
– 1 egg
– 1/2 cup milk
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 4 tbsp vegetable oil

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together your dry ingredients.

Add in the egg, milk and vanilla. Whisk the mixture vigorously or use an electric mixer on medium high for a minute. Once mixed add in your oil and mix until blended.

cover your mini doughnut pan with non-stick cooking spray and make sure you get a good covering. Fill a baker’s piping bag with the doughnut batter and if you don’t have a piping bag you can also use a plastic food storage bag. This will make it much easier and less messy to fill the pan.

Fill each mini doughnut setting a little less then halfway. You don’t need much batter because they will rise and you want to make sure the cute hole doesn’t fill in! Bake the doughnuts for 6-8 minutes. Remove from pan immediately and place on cooling rack.

Once your doughnuts are completely cooled off you can decorate them with your favorite frosting or ganache! Here is our recipe for a simple vanilla glaze:

– 1/4 cup milk
– 2 cups powdered sugar
– tsp. vanilla extract

Mix together and dip the mini doughnuts in the glaze. Add sprinkles for extra cuteness and enjoy!
