Unique Pumpkin Treat Ideas

Have we said yet how much we love pumpkins? One of our very favorite things to do during the month of October is to visit our local pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkins for our house. Not quite sure what it is about a pumpkins that make them so amazing and slightly magical… but we sure can’t get enough of them! Today we are sharing a few unique ways to use your pumpkins! There are so many great ways to cook and serve food with pumpkins because the hallowed inside makes for the perfect bowl and also adds a festive flavor! First up we have Pumpkin Cheesecake Pudding in mini pumpkin bowls. Does it get any cuter then this for a Halloween treat to serve your party guests? Well the best part about them is how easy they are to make!

 

 

What you need:

– 4 mini pumpkins

– 1 package cheesecake pudding mix

– 14.5 oz pumpkin pie filling

– Caramel syrup

 

Directions:

Wash your mini pumpkins, cut off the tops of your pumpkins and hallow out the insides. Follow directions to make the cheesecake pudding mix. Once thick add the pumpkin pie filling. Stir together. Spoon pudding into the mini pumpkins. Top them off with a little swirl of caramel syrup and a pinch of cinnamon to taste. Enjoy!

 

 

Next up we have a spooky witches pot made out of a pumpkin! So easy to make but yet the perfect centerpiece for your Halloween party! The pumpkin adds yummy flavor to hot apple cider. Cut off the top and hallow out a large pumpkin. Once cleaned out spray paint it with matte black spray paint. Let dry {usually about 30 minutes outside} Add your drink of choice and let your guests fill up their cups from the witches brew!

 

There are so many fun things you can do with pumpkins and these are just a few ideas. We also love to save the pumpkin seeds and roast them for a spicy little treat! All you have to do is wash them off, add a little bit of olive oil, seasoning salt, hot salt or chili powder and put them on a cookie sheet. Bake them at 375 degrees for about 10-12 minutes until hard. And there you have it… another great way to use a pumpkin!
