We sure love a cute + fun first birthday party and our friend Amber, owner of Amber Reverie Design, Flowers + Styling, designed one darling party for her little girl, Norah! So many great ideas + inspiration below!
“Our little Norah was born just as spring was unfolding, so I’ve always called her my Little Spring Chicken. I wanted to create a farm fresh celebration that felt warm and inviting for our family and friends. Inside a hundred-year-old schoolhouse, natural centerpieces of dried winter grasses transitioning to foraged new spring blooms were arranged in a carved wood bread bowl. Farm fresh eggs, blossoms and delicate mushrooms created an inviting tablescape for guests to converse around, as vintage rug poufs on blankets provided additional areas for friends to gather, picnic-style. We provided a casual spread of various cheeses, fruit, herbed popcorn, artisan lemonade, vanilla rose shortbread cookies and a beautiful smoked sea salt, dark chocolate cake. After all the kids at the party went on an egg hunt and played games outside, Norah tried her first little banana cake, which she pulled right into her mouth and attacked face-first. As guests left the party, they were sent with little spring chicken favors for the kids, and sweet pea seedlings in egg shells for the adults.”
