SLP Hiking Scavenger Hunt

We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful state with access to mountains and hiking trails just a small drive from our houses. It’s amazing what a little outdoor time can do to a frustrated and overwhelmed momma as well for little peanuts needing to get some energy out! A few weeks ago we went on another field trip to the great outdoors and it truly was a beautiful morning and exactly what we all needed! We asked our sweet friend CeeBee to come along with us and take some pictures of us exploring the “wild.” To make the hike a little more interesting for the little ones we designed a fun scavenger hunt sheet for each peanut to color during snack brake. It was so fun to see the kids get excited when we found something on their list and we would talk about the shape and colors of each object. We found leafs, flowers, birds, bugs, trees, sticks and all sorts of rocks. It’s amazing what dirt and bugs can do for entertainment!

We encourage you to get out and do some exploring with your little ones this summer. If you don’t have access to hiking trails you can also go on a nature walk through a park or field and find a lot of  fun treasures! To make things even more fun we are sharing our scavenger hunt sheet as a free printable to take along with you! DOWNLOAD HERE and don’t forget to take your magnifying glasses!
