Last week we took you on a journey back in time to midcentury Palm Springs and shared the first part of our wooden toy features. Today we are back at it and talking about the incredible handmade products from Clifford & Sons MFG. Founder + designer, Christopher Clifford, is a full time stay at home dad to three energetic boys – Morgan, age 6, Wyatt, age 4, and Luke, age 3. All of the Clifford & Sons toys are inspired by, and the first three were named after, them. They are curious and imaginative little boys, and that is the philosophy behind Clifford & Sons. Every toy is designed to be simple enough that children of any age can incorporate them into their play in a million different ways. The toys are meant to be a launch pad for a child’s imagination and creativity – there is no wrong way to play with Clifford & Sons toys! Think anything from turning the blocks into castles, forts, neighborhoods, forests, swamps, and even racetracks.
Every toy and set of blocks is hand made, hand sanded, and hand painted with a 100% child safe paint. They are then finished with a homemade beeswax wood polish so they are safe for even the smallest little ones and the highest quality hardwoods so every toy will last, kid after kid. We instantly fell in love with the craftsmanship of these toys and our little peanuts instantly fell in love with the fun colors and unique shapes. Check out more toys by Clifford & Sons here!
