LP Travels | Desert Pearl Inn – Zion

We are so excited to introduce a new series here on LP all about traveling with little peanuts. We are really big on exploring and love to go on vacations + staycations with our families and thought we would share some of our favorite places to visit that are perfect for families and small children. We hope you will also join in on our adventures and share some of yours with us as well!

To start things off we are sharing images from our trip to Zion Nation Park and our stay at the beautiful Desert Pearl Inn. Zion is known world wide for being one of the most beautiful places to visit filled with incredible scenery + outdoor activities for all ages. This is one of our top places to visit and if your family is into adventures we know you will instantly fall in love as well! There are many trails that are geared towards children and beginner hikers. Our favorite is the Emerald Pool hike because its and easy + short hike for the littlest of peanuts and ends with breathtaking waterfalls! At the end of this hike we love to stop at the Zion Lodge for ice cream cones and to relax on the grass under the giant trees.

If you are into camping there are many different campgrounds in the area but if you are looking for a bit more of a “vacation” feel then there is nothing more perfect then the Desert Pearl Inn! The minute we arrived the first thing we thought was “this is paradise in the desert”! From the breathtaking views to the relaxing pool area this was by far our favorite part about the trip!  Each room is stylishly designed + comes with convenience kitchen equipped with everything you need to make meals right there in your room and a private terrace balcony.

At the back of the property runs the Virgin River and the Desert Pearl Inn offers beautiful River’s Edge Suites. This is perfect view of the dramatic red cliffs and the West Temple—the highest peak in Zion Canyon. We also loved relaxing + playing by the river’s soft sand banks. Seriously everywhere you turn is another beautiful natural element to enjoy!

One of the reasons why a trip to Zion is perfect for families is because of the easy + convenient shuttle system that can take you up and down the main street of Springdale and also through the Canyon. Springdale itself is such a fun place to visit with lots of little shops and restaurants. Our typical day consisted of hikes in the morning (so it wasn’t as hot) then back to the inn to cool off and relax by the pool. Nap time in our room then for dinner we loved walking down main street + stopping in the local shops. If you choose to eat in the town you have to try the famous Oscar’s Cafe! Amazing burgers and yummy Mexican food… need we say more?! All this talking has got us wishing we were back in Zion right now!

We hope you will consider a trip to Zion National Park + the Desert Pearl Inn! And since it’s located in the desert with a warm claimant it’s the perfect place to visit all year long! Make sure to check back tomorrow for more images of us exploring Zion Canyon!
